Just in case you have been in a post-Super Bowl funk like myself and haven’t heard the great news yet, sit down because the Seattle Seahawks traded center Max Unger and their 2015 1st round pick for one of the elite players in the NFL this afternoon by the name of Jimmy Graham along with a 4th round pick.
Yes that is right all of a sudden that nasty last play of the season feels a lot better with the addition of the 6’7” Tight End from the New Orleans Saints despite losing a quality center in Max Unger .
I’m still in a bit of a shock though I heard the news 4 hours ago first through a tidbit on the radio followed-up by another super-fan Kris who called me up to process the news. Jimmy Graham brings not only size and swagger, but he is a proven commodity who forces other teams to game-plan for which will help take the focus off the dynamic duo of Russell Wilson and newly re-signed Marshawn Lynch.
And yes we still need to finish long-term deals with Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner, but Graham gives Seattle that #1 reciever that we have been missing the last couple years. As far as I am concerned the last piece of the puzzle in addition to getting some help on both lines, is finding a specialist punt and kickoff returner somewhere.
